Integrat recently had the privilege of attending the launch of MoyaTech’s charity arm ‘Moyawam’ in Johannesburg. The primary objective of the charity initiative is to simplify the donation process by listing as many charity organizations as possible on the Moyawam website. 

Various contributors and charities, such as ‘Childline’ and ‘Echo’, as well as social workers attended the launch in order to network with one another and to meet the children that have been aided by contributors. The day was an excellent opportunity for Integrat, too, who have recently decided to take on a more aggressive approach towards the development and improvement of our community - to specifically meet with ‘Echo’ (working with HIV-positive people) and ‘Childline’ (doing trauma counseling) to establish exactly what they need and how Integrat as a corporate company, but also as a part of the community, could help.

It is truly amazing what can be done to brighten someone’s day up by spending mainly time and effort and a little bit of money; in fact, all it took were coloring books, pencils, stickers and sweets and we got rewarded with a day of joy, excitement and big smiles.’ Being involved in the community is such a blessing. We as a corporate company gave only a little, but received so much more,’ said Claudia Jordaan, Integrat Project Administrator. The Social Worker accompanying the children told us that most of them were either HIV-positive or were part of families where the parent(s) had HIV.

Although Integrat’s main aim is to help these charities help themselves by utilizing mobile technology for donations and communication, Integrat will also directly get involved with charities by providing financial aid and donating of our time.  

We as a company felt compelled to do what we can (even if it is providing only one day of being loved and cared for) for these children.
